The wine and sparkling wine estate Barth in Rheingau

 The vineyards in the beautiful town of Hattenheim are of outstanding quality. The Rhine, which flows directly from east to west for the only time in the Rheingau, has its widest expanse here. Just in the middle of the Rheingau, in Hattenheim, it is almost a kilometer wide at average water levels. The width of the river and the slope with mostly southern exposure are excellent for viticulture. The quality of the soils are also excellent, particularly partial and varied. It is no wonder that a large part of the vineyard area in the central Rheingau has received the highest site classification.

The Barth wine and sparkling wine estate has become known not only for its dry and noble sweet Rieslings, but above all for its Winzersekt Ultra, which is counted among the top class of sparkling wines by various trade journals. The continuation of the success of the Barth sparkling wines is ensured by the commitment of Johann Barth's granddaughter, who studied oenology and works hand in hand with her husband in her father's winery.

• Pinot Noir (Spätburgunder)

The focus is clearly on the white grape variety Riesling.
