Pinot Bianco Riserva Alto Adige Terlaner DOC by Cantina Terlan shines intensely straw yellow in the glass. On the nose develops a very complex and multifaceted bouquet with aromas of ripe fruits, honey melon, white peach, pears or golden delicious apples, but also nuances of quince jelly and dried fruits, pear, pineapple, and orange, complemented by hints of graphite as well as a hint of jasmine with mineral tendencies.
On the palate, the combination of aromatic, fruity and salty components continues, while soft and creamy properties enhance the spicy and long-lasting, emphasized mineral aftertaste.
Vinification for the foothills Pinot Bianco Riserva Alto Adige Terlaner DOC by Cantina Terlan
On the south side of Mount Monzoccolo in the DOC wine-growing region of Terlano there are two vineyards at an altitude between 450 and 950 m asl, sunny and steep, in which an impressive unique Pinot Blanc grows. This rich and exceptionally complex wine impresses above all with its minerality and development potential.
The harvest and selection are carried out by hand. The grapes are pressed whole and the must is clarified by natural decantation. Alcoholic fermentation takes place slowly in 30 hl oak barrels at a controlled temperature, followed by malolactic fermentation and ageing over 12 months on fine yeasts in traditional large oak barrels.
Food recommendation for the Vorberg Pinot Bianco Riserva Alto Adige Terlan DOC
This deliciously tasty cru goes perfectly with spicy fish soups, peppery mussels, pasta with seafood, interesting in combination with gratinated mussels, squid grilled or char, stuffed artichokes alla Romana, mature pecorino or parmesan or Tete de Moine.
