The Vivia Maremma Toscana DOC by Le Mortelle presents straw yellow with delicate green accents in the glass. On the nose, an intense bouquet unfolds with aromas of ripe white fruit, complemented by scents of pineapple and mango, followed by delicate citrus notes and the scent of white busts. On the palate tasteful, lively, full-bodied and fresh, in the finish long lasting with nuances of lemon zest in the pleasant aftertaste.
Vinification of the Vivia Maremma Toscana DOC by Le Mortelle
On the sandy-loamy and clayey soils grow the indigenous grape varieties Vermentino and Ansonica typical of the coastal region of Tuscany, which together with the newly planted Viognier, yield an elegant white terroir wine, with the characteristic colors and aromas of the coast of Maremma.
The first grape variety to be harvested is Viognier, from which the aromas of ripe fruit originate, followed by Vermentino, which gives the wine freshness and fragrance, and finally Ansonica comes almost as late harvest at the beginning of October, giving the wine its structure and aroma.
After harvesting, the grapes are gently pressed by grape variety and vinified separately to highlight the individual characteristics. By cooling, the must decants naturally and is then transferred to stainless steel tanks in which alcoholic fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature. After a short ageing of three months in a stainless steel tank on the fine yeasts, the cuvée is formed and the wine is bottled in January after the harvest, where it matures for another three months before it is sold.
