Viña Errazuriz - sustainable viticulture from the Andes

Since the forefather of the winery's founder moved from the Basque Country to the Chilean capital of Santiago, the family has counted four presidents, two archbishops, several diplomats, industrialists and writers among its family tree. Don Maximiano Errazuriz, born in Santiago in 1832, was one of these important industrialists of the Errazuriz family. In 1870, he founded a winery in Panquehue, which is still in existence today.

Don Maximiano's motto: "From the best soil, the best wine"

In the Valle de Aconcagua, Don Maxim iano found the ideal conditions for the production of high quality wines. Cool, wet winters, dry warm summers and, due to its proximity to the Pacific Ocean, perfect humidity. On the best soils of the estate, he planted clones of first-class French vines, and throughout his life he endeavored to modernize production with a view to increasing quality. The current owner, Eduardo Chadwick, successfully carries his great-grandfather's claim into the new millennium in the fifth generation. Wines from Viña Errazuriz are among the best grape juices in the Andean country.
