This Brunello Riserva by Tenuta il Poggione is characterized by dense ruby red color in the glass, an elegant bouquet with aromas of red fruits, leather and spices. On the palate, this outstanding Italian red wine is balanced, persistently present in the taste, with a full body and firm tannin structure, the final is seductively long.

Vinification of Brunello di Montalcino Riserva Vigna Paganelli by Tenuta Il Poggione

This exclusive Brunello Riserva Vigna Paganelli is a cru of Sangiovese grapes from the oldest vineyard of the "I Paganelli", which was planted in 1964. On this vineyard are growing vines of the highest quality, which are selectively harvested one by one, only the best and most mature are selected for this wine. After the manual harvest the must ferments 20 days on the mash. Subsequently, the wine spends 48 months in large 30 hl and 50 hl oak oak barrels from French oak, followed by a two-year bottle ageing. Only then it can be called "Riserva".

"The flavors of this Brunello Riserva are breathtaking with subtle forest fruits, orange peel and mushrooms, full body, very fine tannins and a long and persistent finish, the aromas are so complex with earth and dark fruits, very nice and dusty tannins. James Suckling
