The barrel-aged Vieilles Vignes Gigondas from the wine-growing region the Rhône Valley shows in the glass in dense purple. With a little lateral position, the red wine glass reveals a charming garnet red tone at the edges. Swiveling the glass, this red wine reveals a high viscosity, evident in church windows at the rim of the glass. Poured into a red wine glass, this red wine from France offers wonderfully expressive aromas of raspberry and red currant, rounded out by other fruity nuances contributed by barrel aging.

The Maison Tardieu-Laurent Vieilles Vignes Gigondas delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with only 0.4 grams of residual sugar. As you would expect from a wine icon wine segment, this Frenchman naturally enraptures with the finest balance for all its dryness. Excellent taste does not necessarily need a lot of residual sugar. On the palate, the texture of this powerful red wine is wonderfully velvety. Due to its present fruit acidity, the Vieilles Vignes Gigondas is fantastically fresh and lively on the palate. The final of this red wine from the wine-growing region of the Rhône Valley, which has good aging potential, finally convinces with considerable reverberation.

Vinification of the Vieilles Vignes Gigondas from Maison Tardieu-Laurent

This powerful red wine from France is organically vinified from Grenache, Mourvèdre and Syrah grapes. After the hand harvest, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in small wood at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally drawn into bottles.

This French wine is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C. It is perfect as an accompaniment to ossobuco, boeuf bourguignon or vegetable couscous with beef meatballs.
