More information about Tradition Brauneberger Riesling feinherb - Fritz Haag

The Tradition Brauneberger Riesling from Fritz Haag of Mosel reveals a brilliant, light yellow color in the glass. After the first swirl, this white wine features a fascinating brilliance that makes it dance buoyantly in the glass. This single varietal German wine flatters the glass with wonderfully expressive notes of pineapple, apricots, mirabelle plums and peaches. These are joined by hints of minerality.

The light-bodied Fritz Haag Tradition Brauneberger Riesling reveals an incredibly fruit-driven taste to us on the palate, due in no small part to its residually sweet flavor profile. On the tongue, this light-footed white wine is characterized by an incredibly light texture. Due to its vital fruit acidity, the Tradition Brauneberger Riesling presents itself as fantastically fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this youthful white wine from the wine-growing region of the Moselle finally inspires with considerable length. There are again hints of apricot and mirabelle. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the slate-dominated soils join in.

Vinification of the Fritz Haag Tradition Brauneberger Riesling

This wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, and that is Riesling. For this wonderfully elegant single-varietal wine from Fritz Haag, only first-class grapes were brought in. In Mosel, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of slate. Tradition Brauneberger Riesling is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, for this German wine breathes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. After the hand harvest, the grapes immediately reach the winery. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Once fermentation is complete, the Tradition Brauneberger Riesling can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for several months.
