The Australian winery Torbreck Vintners was founded in 1994 by Dave Powell .

Torbreck Vintners - Dead man walking to new life

Dave Powell worked for more than 25 years in several well-known wineries and gained a wealth of experience in the art of winemaking. At some point he managed to revive old almost dried up vines in Barossa Valley. Only two years later, he was rewarded with grapes that thrill with an extremely intense aroma. Inspired by this success, he took courage and founded Torbreck Vintners. At the same time, he also saved old overgrown vineyards by convincing local winegrowers not to remove the old gnarled vines and instead to lease the vineyard to him. Aging between 40 and 160 years, Torbreck Vintner 's vines are among the oldest in the world. In the meantime, the world-famous winery has been taken over by billionaire Pete Kight

Awards from all over the world for Torbreck wines

The top vineyards of Torbreck Vintners today cover an area of 250 hectares. From the grapes, which are largely hand-picked, exclusive wines are produced with a great deal of skill and patience, which have been and continue to be awarded prizes around the world. This is partly due to the fact that the Barossa Valley region is ideally suited for wine growing, but to a large extent it is of course the impressively strong aroma of the wines, as well as the brilliant skills of the winemakers. The intensity, complexity and lushness of the exclusive wines are repeatedly praised. Whether

  • Les Amis
  • The Steading or
  • The Factor

the names of the wines from the winery always have a story and mostly fit perfectly to the respective wine.

Top wines from the Murray Valley

The estate's vineyards include old vines of Grenache, Shiraz and Mataro. Vineyards in Eden Valley are also part of the estate today. Some of the best wines in Australia are produced along the Murray River, in whose extensive valley the grapes are partly grown. In Eden Valley, on the other hand, the climate is somewhat cooler than in Barossa Valley. However, both growing regions benefit from cool ocean breezes.

Vines from Torbreck Vintners

All Torbreck Vintners wines have a perfect balance of color, aroma and flavor. So trying these wines is worthwhile in any case.
