Three Bridges Durif - Calabria Family Wines
More information

The pure 3 Bridges Durif by Calabria Family Wines is presented in a bold black-red colour with vibrant violet nuances. Expressive aromas of black berries and dark chocolate delight the nose and continue on the palate, where they are complemented by wonderful notes of ripe blackberries and cocoa beans. The vanilla and coconut nuances of wood storage complete the wonderful character of this red wine. The finish exudes strength, juiciness and spiciness. Fine-grained and at the same time strong tannins as well as ripe, sweet fruits are noticeable in the finale.

Vinification of the Durif

3 Bridges The Durif grapes are harvested

exclusively by hand at night. This is followed by destemming of the grapes and gentle pressing. The fermentation takes place in open fermentation stands. The mash is rammed in twice a day by hand and pressed over basket presses. This Australian red wine is then aged for 13 months in American oak barriques. This gives this wine its wonderful aromas of oak, vanilla and coconut.

Food recommendation for the Calabria 3 Bridges Durif

We recommend this dry red wine from Australia with strong meat dishes such as Osso Bucco and roast beef, with duck with garlic and fresh herbs as well as with Parmesan and Gouda.
