THE SUD Malvasia Nera from the Cantine San Marzano is a varietal, soft and full-bodied red wine from the Italian wine region of Puglia.
In a ruby red colour with black-violet reflections, this wine shimmers in the glass. Its fruity-spicy bouquet unfolds on the nose, with black cherry, clove, cinnamon and elderberry dominating. This Italian red wine brings a strong fruity aroma ensemble to the palate. Wonderfully integrated wood notes combine with the spice of star anise, cinnamon, clove and the fruit of red berry jam. The SUD Malvasia Nera comes round and soft and concludes with a sustainable finale.
Vinification of the Cantine San Marzano South Malvasia Nera
The must of Malvasia Nera grapes is placed on the mash for 10 days after harvesting and pressing. It is then filled into French oak barriques for maturation. This red wine is aged for 4 months and retains its spicy character.
