More information

The stone set from the Palatinate in the barrel offers a dense crimson in the glass. With a little side layer, the Bordeaux glass reveals a charming garnet red tone on the edges. This German cuvée in Bordeaux style flatters the nose wonderfully expressively with notes of shadow morals, mulberries, blueberries and black cherries. Add hints of cinnamon, oriental spices and gingerbread spice.

This red from Markus Schneider is just the right choice for all friends of absolutely dry wines. On the palate, the texture of this powerful red wine is wonderfully velvety and fleshy. In the finish, this well storable red wine from the Palatinate finally inspires with considerable length. Again, there are hints of shadow morals and blackcurrant. In the reverberation, mineral notes of the soils dominated by marl and sand are added

.

Vinification of the stone set by Markus Schneider

The basis for the first-class and wonderfully powerful cuvée stone set by Markus Schneider are Cabernet Franc and Merlot grapes. In the Palatinate, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of sand and marl as well as gravel and gravel. The vines belong to the oldest plantations of the winery. If the perfect physiological ripeness is ensured, the grapes for the stone set are harvested exclusively manually without the help of coarse and less selective grape fullers. After harvesting, the grapes reach the press house in the fastest way. Here you are selected and gently ground. This is followed by fermentation in large wood at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by ageing for a few months in oak barrels.

Food recommendation for Schneider Steinsatz

Drink this red wine from Germany ideally tempered at 15 - 18°C as an accompaniment to veal table tops with beans and tomatoes or to mildly spicy Moroccan lamb dishes.
