The St. Severin Blauer Zweigelt from the wine-growing region of Lower Austria offers itself in the glass in bright light red. The nose of this red wine from Lower Austria enchants with hints of sour cherry. It is precisely its fruity nature that makes this wine so special.

In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by gravel and clay join in.

Vinification of the Winzer Krems St. Severin Blauer Zweigelt

The balanced St. Severin Blauer Zweigelt from Austria is a single varietal wine, vinified from the Zweigelt grape variety. In Lower Austria, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of clay and gravel. When the perfect physiological ripeness is ensured, the grapes for St. Severin Blauer Zweigelt are harvested exclusively by hand without the use of coarse and less selective full harvesters. After the harvest, the grapes reach the winery by the fastest route. Here they are selected and carefully milled. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. At the end of fermentation, the St. Severin Blauer Zweigelt is allowed to further harmonize on the fine lees for several months.
