The Pinot Noir Hand in Hand by Meike Näkel & Markus Klumpp is a perfectly balanced red wine with substance, depth and elegance. The bouquet of this wine caresses the nose with aromas of sour cherry, currant and plum. A discreet roasted aroma and delicate nuances of cocoa, clove and juniper round off the aroma spectrum. Fine nuances of herbs such as lovage and fresh laurel add further complexity to this Pinot.
On the palate, the Näkel & Klumpp Hand in Hand Spätburgunder is a pleasure to drink with its fine tannin structure and lively acidity. A grippy Pinot Noir, as the Baden people are particularly capable of producing, an elegant Pinot Noir, as the masters from the Ahr are known for.
Vinification of the Spätburgunder hand in hand by Meike Näkel & Markus Klumpp
The grapes for this single-varietal Pinot Noir from old vines grow on loess and clay soils with a high chalk content, which provides minerality and depth, especially in red wines. After selective hand harvesting, the grapes are traditionally fermented on the skins and aged for 10 months in barriques from the Ahr. With their three Hand-in-Hand wines, Meike Näkel and Markus Klumpp have not only set a monument to their love, but have also created 2 wines and a sparkling wine that will give any gift recipient a feeling of connection. After all, hand in hand is the best way to go through life.
Food recommendation for the Pinot Noir Hand in Hand
Enjoy this dry red wine from Baden with dishes of game such as venison or wild boar or also with roast beef or short roasts of beef.
