Brut sparkling wine from Bründlmayer is an excellent and multi-layered sparkling wine whose signature clearly refers to the Bründlmayer winery in the Austrian Kamptal. The grape varieties Spätburgunder (40%), Weißburgunder (10%), Grauburgunder (10%) Chardonnay (10%) and Grüner Veltliner (10%) make this wine a fine yet strong and complex sparkling wine

In the glass, this sparkling wine shimmers in a shiny straw yellow with golden shimmer. Of course, a very fine, persistent perlage appears, which conjures up a fine mousseux on the surface. The bouquet is characterized by aromas of apricots, brioche as well as toast, hazelnut and vanilla. On the palate, this Austrian sparkling wine is fresh and smooth. The fruit aromas appear in large quantities and the freshness of the acidity rounds off the taste. A long fine melt characterizes the reverberation. 

Vinification of the Bründlmayer sparkling

Mostly in mid-September, the ripened grapes for this sparkling wine are carefully picked by hand in small boxes. The harvested material is immediately taken to the Bründlmayer wine cellar and gently pressed. The resulting must is fermented in stainless steel tanks and then undergoes biological acid degradation. This base wine is then placed in 300 and 2500 litres of wooden barrels (Austrian oak). 

The following year, with the addition of sugar and yeast, the second fermentation takes place on the bottle. This sparkling wine matures in the cellars for about 18 to 36 months. Vibration is carried out exclusively by hand. If the yeast set has slipped completely into the bottle neck, this sparkling wine is degorged and the missing quantity is filled with a shipping dosage.

Enjoy this champagne from Austria well chilled as a welcome  aperitif, or with baked crustaceans, soft cheese, pies, salmon, risotto and fruit desserts.
