The Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast by Schug Winery glows in the glass in a ruby red with garnet red reflections.
The expressive aromas are reminiscent of juicy cherries, ripe strawberries with hints of spices. Due to the ageing in the wood, the palate enjoys typical grape varieties with subtle wood tones. The tannin structure is perfectly integrated into the velvety texture. The finale of this red wine is wonderfully long and balanced.
Vinification of the Schug Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast
This red wine is vinified in the style of a Burgundian villa.
After hand-picking the Pinot Noir grapes from the Carneros, Sonoma, North Coast, Mendocino and North Coast regions, grapes are gently pressed. The mash is then fermented in a stainless steel tank. For the fine wood tones and tannins, this red wine is aged in large wooden feeds made of French oak.
Food recommendation for the Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir by Schug Winery
This dry red wine is the perfect accompaniment to mushroom dishes with spaetzle, pork medallions in the bacon coat and beans or to sour roasts with dumplings and blueberry.
