SCHLOSS REINHARTSHAUSEN and the Riesling
Weingut Schloss Reinhartshausen has been a part of Rheingau wine culture for 680 years now. Even today, the breath of history still wafts through the old walls. Everything breathes Riesling! With their original Schloss bottlings, they continue to stand for award-winning top quality from the heart of the Rheingau. Based on the outstanding vineyard sites, you, the Lergenmüller family, stand for a respectful treatment of fauna and flora in the vineyard. After selective harvesting, the quality that comes from the vineyard is merely preserved and gently shaped. They give the wines time to mature. Traditionally, they are among the most storable wines of the Rheingau.

The mighty Rhine formed the island of Mariannenaue about 10,000 years ago on a bed of limestone rocks made of sand and gravel washed up from the Alps. Due to its location in the middle of the Rhine, a special microclimate prevails. Here, Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Red Riesling find the best conditions to ripen optimally on 24 hectares of vineyards. The unique terroir produces wines with an unmistakable character.

The grape variety is cultivated by most winegrowers on about 80% of the approximately 3,200ha of vineyard area. In the Rheingau, mainly Riesling and Spätburgunder are planted. Schloss REINHARTSHAUSEN produces wines of this variety:
