More information

The Schlatter Spätburgunder SW from Martin Waßmer enters the glass with a ruby red colour and garnet reflections. At first we hear a fine fruit of black cherries, mulberries and blackberries, which is underlaid by subtle spicy notes and a hint of chocolate.

On the palate, the Martin Waßmer Schlatter Spätburgunder SW is juicy and knows how to convince with good tannin structure, fine acidity, elegant character and good, supple length.

Vinification of the Schlatter Spätburgunder SW

The Pinot Noir SW draws its strength from vineyards around Schlatt. Here the Pinot grapes grow on calcareous soils with loess-loam overlay. The crushed grapes are fermented spontaneously and the wine is aged in French oak barriques.

Food recommendation for the Martin Waßmer Schlatter Spätburgunder SW

Serve this grandiose Pinot Noir from Baden with short roasted or grilled meat dishes, dark poultry or fine game dishes.
