More information about Sauternes AOC 0,375 l - Château Dudon
Château Dudon's Sauternes from Bordeaux reveals a dense, pale yellow color in the glass. After the first swirl, this white wine reveals a high density and fullness, which is evident in strong church windows at the edge of the glass. This French cuvée flatters wonderfully expressive notes of peaches, lemons and orange jam in the glass. These are joined by hints of honey.
The Sauternes can justifiably be described as particularly fruit-driven and velvety, as it was vinified with a wonderfully sweet flavor profile. Full-bodied and multi-faceted, this creamy Sauternes presents itself on the palate. Due to the balanced fruit acidity, the Sauternes flatters with a pleasing mouthfeel without lacking freshness. The finale of this white wine from the Bordeaux wine region, more precisely from Sauternes, which can age well, finally thrills with a beautiful reverberation.
Vinification of the Château Dudon Sauternes
This powerful Sauternes from France is pressed organically from the grape varieties Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon. Sauternes is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, as this Frenchman exudes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. After the hand harvest, the grapes arrive at the winery by the fastest route. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally drawn off.
Food recommendation for the Sauternes of Château Dudon
This French wine is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to fillet of turbot in Japanese style with vegetable julienne, onion tart with thyme or spicy chestnut soup.
