More information about Sandgrube 13 Grüner Veltliner - Winzer Krems

In the glass, the Sandgrube 13 Grüner Veltliner from Winzer Krems presents a bright platinum yellow color. This varietal Austrian wine shows in the glass wonderfully youthful notes of green apple. This is joined by hints of .

This wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with 2.9 grams of residual sugar. As you would expect from a wine beyond the 4 euro mark, this Austrian naturally enchants with the finest balance despite all its dryness. Aroma does not necessarily need a lot of residual sugar. On the palate, the texture of this balanced white wine is wonderfully light. Due to its present fruit acidity, the 13 Grüner Veltliner reveals itself impressively fresh and lively on the palate. The finish of this youthful white wine from the wine-growing region of Lower Austria, more precisely from Kremstal, finally thrills with good reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral notes of the soils dominated by loess.

Vinification of the Sandgrube 13 Grüner Veltliner from Winzer Krems

The balanced Sandgrube 13 Grüner Veltliner from Austria is a single varietal wine, vinified from the grape variety Grüner Veltliner. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Lower Austria. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of loess soil. The grapes for this white wine from Austria, at the time of optimal ripeness, are harvested particularly quickly and preferably in the morning to preserve their freshness. After harvesting, the grapes are taken to the press house as quickly as possible. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.

Food recommendation for Winzer Krems Sandgrube 13 Grüner Veltliner

This white wine from Austria is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to fruity endive salad, asparagus salad with quinoa or wok vegetables with fish.
