More information about Samas Isola dei Nuraghi IGT - Agricola Punica
The Samas Isola dei Nuraghi from the pen of Agricola Punica from Sardinia reveals a bright, light yellow color in the wine glass. This Agricola Punica white wine presents the nose with all kinds of pineapples, mangoes, passion fruit and lemons. As if that wasn't already impressive, the ageing in concrete adds further aromas such as lime.
This Italian wine impresses with its elegantly dry taste. It was bottled with exceptionally low residual sugar. This is a genuine quality wine that clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so, despite its dryness, this Italian naturally delights with the finest balance. Excellent taste does not necessarily need residual sugar. The texture of this balanced white wine is wonderfully crisp on the palate. On the finish, this youthful white wine from the wine-growing region of Sardinia impresses with its considerable length. There are again hints of lemon and mango. Mineral notes from the clay and sand-dominated soil are added in the finish.
Vinification of Samas Isola dei Nuraghi from Agricola Punica
The basis for the first-class and wonderfully balanced cuvée Samas Isola dei Nuraghi from Agricola Punica are Chardonnay and Vermentino grapes. In Sardinia, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of sand and clay. The grapes for this white wine from Italy are harvested exclusively by hand when they are perfectly ripe. After being harvested by hand, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in concrete at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by maturation on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.
