The Saint Laurent Rheinhessen from the Keth estate in Rheinhessen shows a bright, light red color in the wine glass. This single varietal German wine presents wonderfully complex notes of sour cherries and blackberries in the glass. These are joined by hints of lovage.

The Keth Saint Laurent Rheinhessen presents itself to the wine lover wonderfully dry. This red wine is never coarse or meager, as one might expect from a wine in the upper price range. Balanced and complex, this velvety red wine presents itself on the palate. Due to the balanced fruit acidity, the Saint Laurent Rheinhessen flatters the palate with a soft feel, without lacking juicy liveliness. In the finish, this youthful red wine from the wine-growing region of Rheinhessen finally inspires with beautiful length. Once again, hints of blackberry and sour cherry show through.

Vinification of the Saint Laurent Rheinhessen from Keth

This wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, and that is Saint Laurent. Only the best grapes were used for this wonderfully balanced single-varietal wine from Keth. After the harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in large wood at controlled temperatures. After the completion of fermentation, the elegant Saint Laurent Rheinhessen is aged for several months in oak barrels.

This red wine from Germany is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to lamb stew with chickpeas and dried figs, vegetable couscous with beef meatballs or duck breast with sugar snap peas.
