More information about Saint-Estèphe AOP - Château Ormes de Pez

With the Château Ormes de Pez Saint-Estèphe comes a first-class red wine in the swirled glass. Here it offers a wonderfully luminous ruby color. Slightly slanted, the edges of this barrel-aged wine show a transition of hue towards garnet red. When swirling the glass, one can perceive a perfect balance in this red wine, as it does not stand out watery or syrupy or liqueur-like on the glass walls. The first nose of Saint-Estèphe reveals notes of plum. The fruity parts of the bouquet are joined by notes of barrel aging such as even more fruity-balsamic nuances.

On the palate, the Saint-Estèphe of Château Ormes de Pez opens pleasantly aromatic, fruity and balanced. On the tongue, this balanced red wine is characterized by an incredibly dense texture. In the finish, this mature red wine from the wine-growing region of Bordeaux finally inspires with considerable length. Once again, hints of plum show through. Saint-Estèphe is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, for this Frenchman breathes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. After the grape harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in large wood at controlled temperatures. After the completion of fermentation, the elegant Saint-Estèphe is aged for several months in French oak barrels.

Food recommendation for the Saint-Estèphe from Château Ormes de Pez
