More information about Rosso Ca del Merlo IGP - Giuseppe Quintarelli

The Giuseppe Quintarelli Rosso Ca del Merlo is a first-class red wine in a glass. It presents a wonderfully dense, ruby red color. At the rim, this Italian red wine also shows a transition to garnet red. When the glass is swirled, this red wine reveals a high density and fullness, which can be seen in the stained glass windows at the edge of the glass. The first nose of the Rosso Ca del Merlo reveals nuances of sour cherries and pomegranates. The fruity parts of the bouquet are joined by black cherry.

The Giuseppe Quintarelli Rosso Ca del Merlo presents itself to the connoisseur wonderfully dry. This red wine is never coarse or austere, as you would expect from an iconic wine segment. The texture of this powerful red wine is wonderfully dense on the palate. On the finish, this very storable wine from the Veneto wine-growing region impresses with its exceptional length. There are again hints of sour cherry and pomegranate.

Vinification of the Giuseppe Quintarelli Rosso Ca del Merlo

The basis for the powerful Rosso Ca del Merlo from Italy are grapes from the Sangiovese, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Corvina, Croatina, Nebbiolo and Rondinella grape varieties. The Rosso Ca del Merlo is an Old World wine through and through, as this Italian wine exudes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underlines the success of wines from the Old World. After harvesting, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The fermentation is followed by maturation on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.

Recommendation for Giuseppe Quintarelli Rosso Ca del Merlo
