More information about Quercus Pinot Noir - Allendorf

The barrel-aged Quercus Pinot Noir from the Rheingau wine-growing region presents itself in a bright light red in the glass. The first nose of Quercus Pinot Noir presents notes of blackberries. The fruity aspects of the bouquet are joined by notes of barrel ageing and even more fruity, balsamic nuances.

The Quercus Pinot Noir from Allendorf is the right wine for all wine lovers who like it dry. However, it is never austere or brittle, as you would naturally expect from a wine. This velvety red wine is balanced and complex on the palate. Thanks to its balanced fruit acidity, the Quercus Pinot Noir has a pleasant mouthfeel without lacking any juicy liveliness. On the finish, this storable red wine from the Rheingau wine-growing region finally delights with its beautiful length. There are again hints of blackberry. In the finish, mineral notes from the loess-dominated soil are added.

Vinification of the Allendorf Quercus Pinot Noir

This balanced red wine from Germany is made from the Pinot Noir grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in the Rheingau. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into loess soil. After being harvested by hand, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. This is followed by fermentation in small wooden vats at controlled temperatures. At the end of fermentation, the elegant Quercus Pinot Noir is matured for a few months in oak barrels.

Suggested pairing for the Quercus Pinot Noir from Allendorf

This German wine is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C. It goes perfectly with veal boiled beef with beans and tomatoes, braised chicken in red wine or ossobuco.
