More information about Pomerol AOP 3,0l Doppelmagnum - Château Bonalgue

In the glass, the Pomerol 3.0l double magnum from Château Bonalgue shows a dense purple color. Held at a slight angle, a transition of color toward garnet red is evident at the edges of this barrel-aged wine. Given some air in the glass by swirling, this red wine reveals a high density and richness, which is evident in church windows at the edge of the glass. The first nose of the Pomerol 3.0l double magnum shows nuances of lilac, plums and sour cherries. The fruity parts of the bouquet are joined by notes of barrel aging such as even more fruity-balsamic nuances.

The Château Bonalgue Pomerol 3.0l double magnum delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. As you would expect from a wine icon wine segment, this Frenchman naturally enraptures with the finest balance despite all dryness. Excellent taste does not necessarily require a lot of residual sugar. On the tongue, this powerful red wine is characterized by an incredibly velvety texture. The final of this mature red wine from the Bordeaux wine region, more precisely from Pomerol, finally impresses with considerable reverberation.

Vinification of the Pomerol 3,0l double magnum from Château Bonalgue

The powerful Pomerol 3,0l double magnum from France is a cuvée, vinified from the grape varieties Cabernet Franc and Merlot. The Pomerol 3,0l double magnum is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, as this Frenchman breathes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underlines the success of Old World wines. After the hand harvest, the grapes reach the press house by the fastest route. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Then fermentation takes place in small wood at controlled temperatures. After the completion of fermentation, the powerful Pomerol 3.0l double magnum is aged for several months in oak barriques.
