Der Welmoed Pinotage aus Stellenbosch zeigt sich in einer rubinroten Farbe im Weinglas. In der Nase offenbarten sich viel reife Früchte und Beeren wie Himbeeren und Brombeeren sowie Maulbeeren. Dezent animalische Noten von Leder und eine zarte Holzwürze ergänzen das Bouquet.
Am Gaumen präsentiert der Pinotage von Welmoed dunkle Pflaumen und elegante Tannine. Finale mündet dieser Rotwein in einen weichen, fruchtigen Abgang, in dem schön integrierte Eichenaromen ergänzen.
