Valle de Casablanca is home to the wonderful Pinot Noir grape variety of Veramonte.
A bright ruby red with shiny cherry red highlights is presented in this wine in the glass. The nose enjoys a lush aroma of fresh raspberries, juicy cherries and dried cranberries. This Chilean red wine is multi-layered with an expressive fruit fullness on the palate. The fine freshness offers a wonderful interaction with the very good acidity and the elegantly integrated tannins, which support the silky texture. The long reverberation is carried by fine berry nuances.
Vinification of Pinot Noir Veramonte
At night, the Pinot Noir grapes are harvested in the Casablanca Valley and immediately brought to the wine cellar of Veramonte. There, the berries are carefully destemmed and crushed whole cold. Then fermentation begins in open fermenters. After completion of the fermentation process, this red wine matures for 12 months in French oak barrels.
