The Pinot Noir by Günther Steinmetz comes into the glass with bright ruby red. This wine instantly reveals an enormous elegance and smells wonderfully light-footed of shady morals, ripe blackberries and other dark forest fruits. Spicy notes of forest floor, some cedar wood as well as a prominent mineral shale note complement.
On the palate, the Pinot Noir by Günther Steinmetz is wonderfully elegant and fresh. Not too heavy and not too easy it slides over the tongue. In the finish nicely grippy with pleasantly characterful tannins and fine acidity.
Vinification of the Günther Steinmetz Pinot Noir
The grapes for this Moselle Pinot are picked by hand and fermented in a large wooden barrel with vineyard-owned yeasts and bottled unfiltered. Thus, although a light depot can form on the ground, this is completely harmless.
