More information about Pinot Noir trocken - Weingut Nigl

In the glass, the Pinot Noir from Weingut Nigl offers a dense light red color. At the edge also shows a colored transition to garnet red. When swirling the wine glass, this red wine reveals a high viscosity, which is reflected in strong church windows at the edge of the glass. The first nose of Pinot Noir presents nuances of raspberries, sour cherries and black currants. The fruity parts of the bouquet are joined by notes of barrel aging such as even more fruity-balsamic nuances.

The Weingut Nigl Pinot Noir impresses with its elegantly dry taste. It was bottled with only 1.1 grams of residual sugar. This is a real quality wine, which clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so this Austrian naturally enchants with all dryness with the finest balance. Aroma does not necessarily require a lot of residual sugar. This velvety red wine is full-bodied and complex on the palate. Due to its lively fruit acidity, the Pinot Noir presents itself impressively fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this mature wine from the wine-growing region of Lower Austria finally inspires with considerable length. Once again, hints of black currant and strawberry appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by volcanic rock join in.

Vinification of the Weingut Nigl Pinot Noir

This powerful red wine from Austria is vinified from the Pinot Noir grape variety. In Lower Austria, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils dominated by volcanic rock. Pinot Noir is an Old World wine through and through, as this Austrian breathes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. After harvesting, the grapes arrive at the winery by the fastest route. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation follows in large wood at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally drawn into bottles.

Food recommendation for the Pinot Noir from Weingut Nigl
