In Vienna, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of limestone, loess soil and weathered rock. Pinot Noir Grand Select is an Old World wine through and through, as this Austrian breathes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. After the grapes are harvested, they arrive swiftly at the winery. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in small wood at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, the elegant Pinot Noir Grand Select is aged for several months in French oak barrels.
