More information about Pinot Noir Geisberg - Weingut Wageck
The Pinot Noir Geisberg from Weingut Wageck in the Palatinate offers a bright, light red color in the wine glass. At the edge, there is also a color transition to garnet red. After the first swirl, one can perceive a perfect balance in this red wine, as it stands out on the walls of the glass neither watery nor syrupy or liqueur-like. Poured into a Burgundy goblet, this Old World red wine presents wonderfully expressive aromas of blackberry and rose, rounded out by mineral and black cherry, contributed by barrel aging.
This red wine from Weingut Wageck is ideal for wine connoisseurs who like it absolutely dry. The Pinot Noir Geisberg comes very close to this, as it was pressed with just 0.1 grams of residual sugar. Balanced and multifaceted, this dense red wine presents itself on the palate. Due to its present fruit acidity, the Pinot Noir Geisberg is impressively fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this mature red wine from the wine-growing region of the Palatinate finally inspires with considerable length. There are again hints of blackberry and rose. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by marl and clay are added.
Vinification of the Wageck Pinot Noir Geisberg
This red wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, Pinot Noir. Only the best grapes were harvested for this wonderfully balanced single-varietal wine from Weingut Wageck. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in the Palatinate region. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of limestone, clay and marl. Clearly, Pinot Noir Geisberg is also determined by climate and viticultural style Bissersheim. This German wine can literally be called an Old World wine, which presents itself exceptionally impressive. After the manual harvest, the grapes reach the press house in the fastest way. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in small wood at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging for several months in oak barriques.
