More information about Pinot Grigio Friuli DOC Grave - I Magredi

The Pinot Grigio Friuli Doc Grave from I Magredi from Friuli-Venezia Giulia presents a bright, golden yellow color in the wine glass. The nose of this I Magredi white wine reveals all kinds of mangoes, pears, jasmine and lemons.

The I Magredi Pinot Grigio Friuli Doc Grave is wonderfully dry. This white wine is never coarse or austere, as you would expect from a wine in the upper price range. This light and velvety white wine is balanced and multi-layered on the palate. Thanks to its moderate fruit acidity, the Pinot Grigio Friuli Doc Grave has a pleasant mouthfeel without lacking in juicy liveliness. The finish of this youthful white wine from the Friuli-Venezia Giulia wine-growing region impresses with good persistence. The finish is also accompanied by mineral notes from the limestone-dominated soils.

Vinification of the I Magredi Pinot Grigio Friuli Doc Grave

This balanced white wine from Italy is made from the Pinot Grigio grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Friuli-Venezia Giulia. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into limestone soil. After the harvest, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. At the end of fermentation, the Pinot Grigio Friuli Doc Grave can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for several months.

Dining recommendations for I Magredi Pinot Grigio Friuli Doc Grave

This Italian white wine is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is the perfect accompaniment to a potato pan with salmon, coconut and lime fish curry or spinach gratin with almonds
