The Pinot Brut 2 sparkling wine is a joint project of the Aldinger and Wöhrwag wineries, which brought the legendary sparkling wine grape Volker Raumland on board for their grandiose sparklingwine.
In the glass comes her Pinot Brut 2 quite as elegant as it already presents itself in the bottle. The color wonderfully straw yellow, the pearl elegant and fine. Delicate pearl strings work from the mousse point in the glass towards the surface and light an extraordinary bouquet, which is carried by the finest yeast notes, ripe as well as pickled pears, dried apricots and white.
On the palate, the Pinot Brut 2 by Aldinger and Wöhrwag presents a wonderful full-bodied mouthfeel, without a „too much“ of carbonic acid spoiling the fun and forcing us to sip small. With Pinot Brut 2 everything is just right, especially the balance. The autolysis aromas are reminiscent of fresh peasant bread crust and brioche and make some champagne sweat for three times the price. Great!

This sparkling wine made from white Pinot Noir grapes is the joint project of the Aldinger and Wöhrwag wineries in Stuttgart. Both VDP wineries decided that such a venture requires maximum expertise and they logically found it at Volker Raumland, the undisputed champagne champion of Germany. In 2004 it was time. The first Pinot brood saw the light of the wine world. The base wine for Pinot Brut 2 is vinified exclusively in a stainless steel tank. The second fermentation logically takes place in the bottle. Then Aldingers and Wöhrwags Pinot Brut 2 matures for two whole years on the yeast before the bottles are degorged and corked.
