More information about Pinot Blanc - Maximin Grünhaus

The barrel-aged Pinot Blanc from the wine-growing region the Moselle presents itself in the glass in bright light yellow. The nose shows this Maximin Grünhaus white wine all sorts of jasmine and lemon. As if that were not already impressive, join by the aging in large wooden barrels still butter.

The Maximin Grünhaus Pinot Blanc delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with 3.9 grams of residual sugar. This is a real quality wine, which clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so this German wine naturally enchants with the finest balance despite all dryness. Aroma does not necessarily need a lot of residual sugar. On the tongue, this balanced white wine is characterized by an incredibly light texture. Due to its concise fruit acidity, the Pinot Blanc reveals itself to be fantastically fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this youthful wine from the wine-growing region of the Moselle finally inspires with good length. There are again hints of jasmine and lemon. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the slate-dominated soils join in.

Vinification of the Maximin Grünhaus Pinot Blanc

The basis for the balanced Pinot Blanc from the Mosel are grapes from the grape variety Pinot Blanc. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Mosel. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of slate. After the grape harvest, the grapes quickly reach the pressing house. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks and large wood at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging for several months in 1000 liter oak barrels.

Food recommendation for the Maximin Grünhaus Pinot Blanc

Drink this white wine from Germany ideally moderately chilled at 11 - 13°C as an accompanying wine to fruity endive salad, vegetable salad with beetroot or roasted trout with ginger pear.
