On the heights of the Abruzzo Apennines, shepherding a pack of sheep, in the tall grass, under a blue sky; a little tear of the Pecorino grape comes just in time to pick a little piece of happiness. It was not until 1982 that the Pecorino got the interest of the vintner Guido Cocci Grifoni, who, on one of his walks through the wine regions, rediscovered the almost extinct grape variety. He brought Pecorino to new fame, made the Italian white wine known beyond the borders of the regions of Marche and Abruzzo, and was constantly confronted with the problem that the fruity and spicy white wines bore the same name as the world-famous sheep's cheese.
