varietal Pais of La Causa has its home in the beautiful Valle del Itata - located in the Chilean wine region Valle Sur.
In the glass lies a bright ruby red with cherry-red highlights. The lush bouquet is characterized by sweetly ripened, red forest berries (especially strawberry and raspberry) and juicy cherries. The fruit aromas are accompanied by fine mineral notes and a spicy hint of liquorice. The palate enjoys a round and juicy body with a firm tannin structure and spicy fruit typical of the grape variety. The fresh acidity accompanies into the pleasantly long finale.
Vinification of La Causa Pais
From April, the harvest of the optimally matured Pais grapes for this red wine begins. Once in the wine cellar, the grapes are gently crushed, mashed and fermented for 7 days at a controlled temperature (22 to 26 degrees Celsius) in a stainless steel tank. After alcoholic fermentation, this red wine is gently removed and matured for 12 months in French oak barrels.
