More information about Pagodes de Cos Saint-Estèphe AOP - Château Cos d'Estournel
Pagodes de Cos Saint-Estèphe from Château Cos d'Estournel in Bordeaux presents a bright ruby color in the swirled glass. Swiveling the wine glass, one can perceive a first-class balance in this red wine, as it does not stand out watery or syrupy or liqueur-like on the walls of the glass. To the nose, this Château Cos d'Estournel red wine shows all sorts of blackberries. As if that were not already impressive, the aging in small wooden barrels adds other aromas such as black cherry and cassis.
The Château Cos d'Estournel Pagodes de Cos Saint-Estèphe presents itself wonderfully dry to the wine lover. This red wine is never coarse or meager, but round and smooth. Balanced and complex, this creamy red wine presents itself on the palate. In the finish, this youthful wine from the wine-growing region of Bordeaux finally inspires with considerable length. Once again, hints of blackberry appear.
Vinification of the Château Cos d'Estournel Pagodes de Cos Saint-Estèphe
The starting point for Château Cos d'Estournel's premium and wonderfully balanced Pagodes de Cos Saint-Estèphe cuvée is Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot grapes. Of course, Pagodes de Cos Saint-Estèphe is also defined by more than just the Saint-Estèphe soil. This French wine can be described as an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, and it is extraordinarily impressive. After the harvest, the grapes arrive at the winery by the fastest route. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. This is followed by fermentation in small wood at controlled temperatures. After the end of fermentation, the elegant Pagodes de Cos Saint-Estèphe is aged for several months in French oak barrels.
