This balanced white wine from Germany is organically produced from the Chardonnay grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Rheinhessen. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of slate and clay. Oppenheim Chardonnay R is an Old World wine through and through, as this German wine exudes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. After the grapes are harvested, they are immediately sent to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in large wood at controlled temperatures. The fermentation is followed by aging for several months in 500 l oak barrels.
