More information about Niederhäuser Hermannshöhle Riesling trocken - Jakob Schneider

The barrel-aged Niederhäuser Hermannshöhle Riesling from the wine-growing region the Nahe presents itself in the glass in bright light yellow. Poured into a white wine glass, this white wine from Germany reveals wonderfully fragrant aromas of ripe apple and lemon, rounded off by further fruity nuances contributed by the aging in wooden barrels.

The Jakob Schneider Niederhäuser Hermannshöhle Riesling delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with 2.6 grams of residual sugar. As one might expect from a wine in the high quality wine range, this German wine naturally enraptures with the finest balance despite all its dryness. Aroma does not necessarily need sugar. Balanced and complex, this crisp and light white wine presents itself on the palate. Due to its concise fruit acidity, the Niederhäuser Hermannshöhle Riesling is fantastically fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this well storable wine from the wine-growing region of the Nahe finally inspires with considerable length. There are again hints of ripe apple and lemon. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by volcanic rock join in.

Vinification of the Niederhäuser Hermannshöhle Riesling by Jakob Schneider

This balanced white wine from Germany is vinified from the Riesling grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in the Nahe region. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of volcanic rock. After the hand harvest, the grapes reach the press house by the fastest route. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Then fermentation takes place in large wood at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, the elegant Niederhäuser Hermannshöhle Riesling is aged for several more months in oak barrels.

Food recommendation for the Niederhäuser Hermannshöhle Riesling by Jakob Schneider

Experience this white wine from Germany ideally well chilled at 8 - 10°C as an accompanying wine to spaghetti with caper-tomato sauce, omelet with salmon and fennel or stir-fried vegetables with fish.
