Vinification of the Niederhäuser Hermannshöhle Magnus Riesling by Jakob Schneider
This balanced white wine from Germany is made from the Riesling grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in the Nahe region. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of volcanic rock. After harvesting, the grapes are quickly taken to the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in large wood at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally drawn into bottles.
