More information about Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC - Osteria

In the glass, the biodynamically produced Montepulciano d'Abruzzo from Osteria has a bright ruby red color. Poured into a red wine glass, this red wine from Italy displays wonderfully elegant aromas of blackcurrant, sour cherry and plum, rounded off with other fruity nuances.

This Italian wine impresses with its elegantly dry taste. It was bottled with 5.7 grams of residual sugar. As you would expect from a wine above the 4-euro mark, this Italian naturally delights with the finest balance despite its dryness. Taste does not necessarily need sugar. The texture of this well-balanced red wine is wonderfully silky on the palate. Thanks to the balanced fruit acidity, the Montepulciano d'Abruzzo flatters with a soft mouthfeel without lacking in juicy liveliness. The finish of this youthful red wine from the Abruzzo wine-growing region impresses with a beautiful aftertaste.

Vinification of the Osteria Montepulciano d'Abruzzo

The basis for the balanced Montepulciano d'Abruzzo from Italy are grapes from the Montepulciano grape variety. After the grape harvest, the grapes are transported to the winery as quickly as possible. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The fermentation is followed by maturation on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.

Recommended pairing for the Montepulciano d'Abruzzo from Osteria

This red wine from Italy is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C. It goes perfectly with vegetable stew with pesto, leek soup or cabbage roulades
