More information about Merlot trocken - Michel Schneider
The elegant Merlot from the pen of Michel Schneider shines into the glass with bright purple. The first nose of Merlot flatters with notes of blackcurrant and blackberry. The fruity components of the bouquet are joined by coffee/mocha and vanilla.
This wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with 6.5 grams of residual sugar. This is a true quality wine that clearly stands out from simpler qualities, and so this German wine naturally enraptures with the finest balance despite all its dryness. Excellent taste does not necessarily need sugar. On the palate, the texture of this balanced red wine is wonderfully dense. With its present fruit acidity, the Merlot is exceptionally fresh and lively on the palate. The final of this youthful red wine from the wine-growing region of the Palatinate finally captivates with good reverberation.
Vinification of the Michel Schneider Merlot
The basis for the balanced Merlot from Germany are grapes from the grape variety Merlot. After the hand harvest, the grapes reach the press house by the fastest route. Here they are sorted and carefully ground. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.
Food recommendation for the Merlot by Michel Schneider
This German wine is best enjoyed tempered at 15 - 18°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to braised chicken in red wine, ossobuco or red onion stuffed with couscous and apricots.
