More information about Merlot DOC - Torre Rosazza
The Merlot of Torre Rosazza from Friuli Venezia Giulia shows a bright purple color in the wine glass. Poured into a red wine glass, this red wine from the Old World reveals wonderfully expressive aromas of blueberry, blackcurrant, mulberry and blackberry, rounded off by cinnamon, green bell pepper and vanilla.
This wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with 5.2 grams of residual sugar. This is a real quality wine, which clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so this Italian enchants naturally with all dryness with the finest balance. Excellent taste does not necessarily require residual sugar. On the palate, the texture of this balanced red wine is wonderfully velvety and dense. Due to the balanced fruit acidity, the Merlot flatters the palate with a velvety feel, without lacking juicy liveliness. The final of this youthful red wine from the wine-growing region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, more precisely from Friuli Grave DOC, finally captivates with good reverberation.
Vinification of the Merlot from Torre Rosazza
This red wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, and that is Merlot. For this exceptionally balanced varietal wine from Torre Rosazza, only the best grapes were used. After harvesting, the grapes are taken to the press house in the fastest possible way. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally drawn into bottles. Once the wine is finished, the Merlot is carefully harmonized.
