In the glass, this red wine from Osteria offers aromas of blackberry jelly, plums and sour cherries, complemented by other fruity nuances. This wine impresses with its elegantly dry taste. It was bottled with 6.6 grams of residual sugar. This is a genuine quality wine that clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so, despite its dryness, this Italian naturally delights with the finest balance. Aroma does not necessarily require residual sugar. The texture of this well-balanced red wine is wonderfully silky on the palate. Thanks to its vital fruit acidity, the Merlot is wonderfully fresh and lively on the palate. On the finish, this youthful red wine from Italy finally delights with its beautiful length. There are again hints of plum and sour cherry.
Vinification of the Merlot from Osteria
This wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, namely Merlot. Only the best grapes were harvested for this wonderfully balanced single-varietal wine from Osteria. After being harvested by hand, the grapes are transported to the winery as quickly as possible. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. At the end of fermentation, the Merlot can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for a few months.

This biodynamic red wine from Italy is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C with pumpkin casserole, leek soup or spinach gratin with almonds.
