More information about Mélodie de Vieilles Vignes Sancerre AOC - Gaudry
In the glass, Gaudry's organically produced Mélodie De Vieilles Vignes Sancerre offers a bright pale yellow color. After the first swirl, one can perceive a first-class balance in this white wine, as it does not stand out on the walls of the glass in a watery, syrupy or liqueur-like manner. This single varietal French wine flatters notes of mirabelle plums and lemons delightfully distinguished in the glass. This is joined by hints of lime and mineral.
The Gaudry Mélodie De Vieilles Vignes Sancerre presents itself to the wine enthusiast wonderfully dry. This white wine never shows itself coarse or meager, as one might expect from a top wine range. On the palate, the texture of this balanced white wine is wonderfully silky. Due to its concise fruit acidity, the Mélodie De Vieilles Vignes Sancerre reveals itself to be fantastically fresh and lively on the palate. The final of this youthful white wine from the wine-growing region of the Val de Loire, more precisely from Sancerre, finally convinces with considerable reverberation.
Vinification of the Mélodie De Vieilles Vignes Sancerre by Gaudry
This white wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, and that is Sauvignon Blanc. Only impeccable grape material was used for this wonderfully balanced single varietal wine from Gaudry. After harvesting, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by aging for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally drawn off.
