More information

The Markgräferland Sauvignon Blanc from Martin Waßmer comes into the glass with a bright platinum yellow and exudes a wonderfully fruity aroma of freshly mown grass, fresh herbs, Granny Smith apples and slightly sweet stone fruit such as mirabelle and reneklode.

On the palate, the Markgräflerland Sauvignon Blanc is clear and delicately juicy with animating apple nuances, delicate extract sweetness and a hint of fresh apricots. A pleasantly slender Sauvignon Blanc with a firm structure, yet lively and fresh. Pleasantly balanced, it delights with a good finish and slightly sweet apple fruit.

Vinification of the Markgräflerland Sauvignon Blanc from Waßmer

Even with his estate wines, Martin Waßmer is concerned with high aroma concentration, which he achieves by noticeably reducing yields. Waßmer extracts a maximum of 55 Hl/Ha of must per hectare from the vineyard and vinifies his Sauvigon Blanc in stainless steel tanks.

Food recommendation for the Martin Waßmer Sauvignon Blanc

Enjoy this fantastic Sauvignon Blanc from Baden with fish dishes, Thai or Vietnamese cuisine or simply on its own.

10/10

Perfekt ausbalanciert. Feine Säure und ein herrlicher Abgang. Sehr süffig. Einer der besten deutschen Weißweine, die ich bisher hatte.
