More information about Margaux AOP Cru Bourgeois - Château Marsac Séguineau

The powerful Margaux Cru Bourgeois from Château Marsac Séguineau enters the glass with a dense purple color. With some sideways lay, the Bordeaux glass reveals a charming garnet red hue at the rims. After the initial swirl, this red wine reveals a high viscosity, evident in distinct church windows at the rim of the glass. To the nose, this Château Marsac Séguineau red wine reveals all manner of blackberries, plums and black currants. As if that wasn't already impressive, other aromas like blueberry join in.

On the palate, Château Marsac Séguineau's Margaux Cru Bourgeois starts out wonderfully dry, grippy and aromatic. On the palate, the texture of this punchy red wine is wonderfully silky. In the finish, this mature red wine from the wine-growing region of Bordeaux finally inspires with considerable length. There are again hints of plum and black currant. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by gravel and clay are added.

Vinification of Château Marsac Séguineau Margaux Cru Bourgeois

The basis for Château Marsac Séguineau's premium and wonderfully powerful Margaux Cru Bourgeois cuvée is Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot grapes. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Bordeaux. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of clay and gravel. Margaux Cru Bourgeois is an Old World wine through and through, as this Frenchman exudes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. When perfect physiological ripeness is assured, the grapes for Margaux Cru Bourgeois are harvested exclusively by hand without the use of coarse and barely selective grape harvesters. After the hand harvest, the grapes are quickly transferred to the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The vinification is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.

Food recommendation for Château Marsac Séguineau Margaux Cru Bourgeois

This French red wine is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C. It is perfect as an accompaniment to chickpea curry, cabbage roulades or osso buco.
