More information about Margaux AOP Cru Bourgeois 3,0l Doppelnagnum - Château La Tour de Mons

In the glass, the Margaux Cru Bourgeois 3.0l Double Magnum of Château La Tour de Mons shows a dense ruby color. With some sideways lay, the Bordeaux glass reveals a charming garnet red hue at the rims. As the wine glass swirls, this red wine reveals a high density and richness, evident in church windows at the rim of the glass. The first nose of Margaux Cru Bourgeois 3.0l Double Magnum reveals nuances of sour cherries, plums and blackberries. The fruity components of the bouquet are joined by notes of barrel aging such as even more fruity-balsamic nuances.

This French wine delights with its elegantly dry taste. It was bottled with exceptionally low residual sugar. This is a real quality wine, which clearly stands out from simpler qualities, and so this French wine naturally enchants with the finest balance despite all its dryness. Aroma does not necessarily require residual sugar. On the palate, the texture of this powerful red wine is wonderfully velvety. In the finish, this mature wine from the wine-growing region of Bordeaux finally inspires with considerable length. Once again, hints of plum and sour cherry appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by gravel and clay are added.

Vinification of the Margaux Cru Bourgeois 3.0l Double Magnum from Château La Tour de Mons

The basis for the powerful Margaux Cru Bourgeois 3,0l Double Magnum from Bordeaux are grapes from the grape varieties Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot. The grapes grow in optimal conditions in Bordeaux. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of clay and gravel. The Margaux Cru Bourgeois 3.0l Double Magnum is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, as this Frenchman exudes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. When perfectly ripe, the grapes for the Margaux Cru Bourgeois 3.0l Double Magnum are harvested exclusively by hand without the aid of punishing and barely selective machinery. After the harvest, the grapes immediately enter the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. This is followed by fermentation in small wood at controlled temperatures. After its end, the powerful Margaux Cru Bourgeois 3.0l double magnum is aged for another 12 months in French oak barriques.
