For five generations, the Felluga family has been dedicated to wine growing with great passion.
Winery Marco Felluga - wines with lion strength
And this passion is also reflected in the quality of the wines. And not only that. More than 150 years of experience can be tasted in the noble Italian wines. The winery was founded in the fifties by MarcoFelluga himself. The winery with the lion is located in Gradisca d'Isonzo. MarcoFelluga attaches great importance to the union of family tradition and new technologies. A truly profitable union that continues to this day. In the meantime, the MarcoFelluga winery is managed by his son Robert Felluga.
In a roller coaster of temperatures - viticulture at Marco Felluga
Today, the employees of the MarcoFelluga winery cultivate about 100 hectares of vineyards with various noble grape varieties. In the beautiful region of Friuli close to the Slovenian border, renowned grape varieties such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvigon or Chardonnay thrive. The Italian classic Pinot Grigio also benefits from the unique location, as do autochthonous and almost extinct varieties such as Ribolla Gialla and Friulano. The MarcoFelluga winery attaches great importance to the preservation of the grape varieties, thus also helping to preserve a piece of Italian history. The very favorable nature of the soils supports the winemakers in their work. In all the vineyard sites, the vines thrive excellently in these first-class conditions. The weather, with very hot and cold temperatures during the ripening period in summer, is another plus point that makes it easy for the MarcoFelluga winery to produce top quality wines. The soil composition as well as the weather conditions give the grapes of the region their typical expressiveness. The winery knows how to use the quality advantage of the grapes and has even perfected it.
The blend makes the difference
The wine-growing area of the MarcoFelluga winery is spread over four locations. In all locations, the winegrowers practice a mixed cultivation of white and red grapes. Under these conditions, the grapes thrive best. The wine stands out not only in taste, but also visually. A lion decorates each bottle and helps the wine in this way to a high recognition value.
