This Italian cuvée flatters the glass with wonderfully expressive notes of blackberries and sour cherries. There are also hints of blueberry and vanilla.
The vegan Oddbird Low Intervention Organic Red No.1 reveals an incredibly fruity taste on the palate, which is not without reason due to its residual sweet profile. The texture of this light-footed red wine is wonderfully dense on the palate. The finale of this red wine from the Veneto wine-growing region finally delights with a good aftertaste. The finish is also accompanied by mineral notes from the volcanic rock-dominated soils.
Vinification of the Oddbird Low Intervention Organic Red No.1
The basis for the elegant Low Intervention Organic Red No.1 from Veneto are grapes from the Merlot and Pinot Noir grape varieties. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Veneto. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into volcanic rock soils. Once perfect physiological ripeness is ensured, the grapes for the Low Intervention Organic Red No.1 are harvested exclusively by hand without the help of coarse and barely selective grape harvesters. After harvesting, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in small wood and large wood at controlled temperatures. At the end of fermentation, the organically produced Low Intervention Organic Red No.1 is aged for a further 12 months in oak barriques and 900-liter tonneaux. Once the wine is finished, the Low Intervention Organic Red No.1 is carefully de-alcoholized.
